A Day In Our Life
Kitto mata meguriau someday
(I'm sure we'll meet again by chance someday)
-- A Day In Our Life/ A*rashi
It was one of those things you wish would happen but don't expect to.
And then, suddenly it did.
I wanted to post this much later in my travel blog but my head is just bursting, still heady from that experience. Like I said, there are things you just dream about, but in reality you know they will never happen. But what if, all of a sudden, the dream begins to unfold before you?
What do you do?
(Just as I was writing this, Kaytee told me that her post on our encounter somehow ended on a site with her photo so now I am scared whether this is the right thing to do. That's why the photo especially with S*ho and A*iba has been deliberately reduced. PLEASE DO NOT REPOST THIS ANYWHERE -- as if someone cares.)
So I'll make this short, without going into details (maybe I'll just preserve the details in a personal journal which really takes away the purpose of my having this blog dammit).
Sept 21, we saw these boys at the presscon. They were easily the stars of the show, upstaging everyone. They did not look much different from photos and videos though A*iba looked taller (he was the tallest in the group). They were not at the cocktail reception after the presser (superstars get to have their own private party I suppose).

The following day, D-day itself, we were at the venue early. The better to reserve seats and thanks to our all-powerful press ID, we were able to move around without any hassle and despite the gazillion of young and strict-looking police everywhere.
We had just settled down on our seats when Kaytee mused aloud that someone who looked like S*ho and A*iba were in the stadium. I turned to look and indeed, the two together with O*hno and N*ino were walking casually towards the other side and sat down. M*atsuJun was nowhere in sight, being the most popular among them, it would have been a nightmare having him out there. (But that is not to say that the four others are not popular.)
If Kaytee was not there, the opportunity would have been wasted because to be honest, I really didn't want to walk over and risk being carted away by their bodyguards.
I guess we were just lucky especially after learning that they have a strict no-picture policy with their fans (unless they initiate it I suppose but then why would they when they are superstars?).

How we managed to do it? That's the trade secret.

You're right, if you weren't there I don't think I would have dared approach them either. Safety in numbers!
I'm sure they were thinking: who the heck are these girls brazenly approaching us, Jpop superstars, and asking for photos? hahaha... ^^
Hope your pic doesn't end up on someone else's site, like mine did!
