It's A Boy

There's a frenzy now in Japan. A frenzy that I reluctantly share (as if it matters e di naman ako Japon).

It's a boy. They finally have their long-awaited male heir after four decades of wait.

Like I said earlier, I wished it would be a girl too because that may be the only way to change the minds of the traditionalists/ conservatives. But well, even fate itself wanted the status quo to prevail.

Princess Aiko can no longer reign one day. But then again, that could be better for the poor kid, to live like a normal child from now on. And for the pressure on Princess Masako to ease finally. I just don't know how society in general would treat the princess when she failed to give them their much wanted male heir.

So now, they finally have their third-generation Mikado.
