The Japanese and Their Copyright

There goes our J-series/videos-watching pleasure. YouTube has deleted almost 30,000 Japanese videos over copyright issues.

Hail to the Japanese for winning this copyright case. But woe to me and millions of others who depend on the video website for our fix of J series/ homemade videos, concerts etc etc. (My company will be happy since this would seriously cut down the time I spend before the PC just watching these videos.)

The Japanese are really strong with their copyright sense. Even in their TV news programmes, sometimes, I find myself watching this stationary landscape image (blue skies, a tree, a hill -- I wonder what all that signify) and the words: "Due to copyright issues, we cannot show the images) so whether the news is about an earthquake in Japan or some movie, it's always that same landscape picture.

I wonder when they will crackdown on my sukis at you-know-where.
